Ümit Kaya has worked in the technology field since 2014. In that time, they have worked for SelfDrvn Enterprise, REA Group, Brightan System Sdn Bhd, Transition Technologies - Managed Services, and OWWN (ex wajve). At SelfDrvn Enterprise, they were a Mobile Application Developer, developing an iOS native application and working with Gamification, Big Data Analytics, and HR Talent Retention. At REA Group, they were an iOS/React Native Developer, developing mobile apps for multiple brands in the Asia market. At Brightan System Sdn Bhd, they were a Sr. iOS Developer, developing iOS mobile apps with RxSwift and writing scripts for multiple language support. At Transition Technologies - Managed Services, they were a Sr. iOS Developer, managing multiple iOS mobile applications and services for the client in multiple countries of the Asia Pacific region. Finally, they are currently an Mobile Application Developer at OWWN (ex wajve).

Ümit Kaya obtained a Bachelor in Computer Science with a field of study in Computer Software Engineering from the Management and Science University between 2011 and 2014. In addition, they have obtained certifications from various institutions such as LinkedIn Learning, AXELOS Global Best Practice, LinkedIn, and iTrain Malaysia. These certifications include Learning Salesforce (April 2021), ITIL Foundation Level (February 2021), iOS Development: Architecture (December 2019), Machine Learning for iOS Developers (November 2019), and iOS developer (April 2015).
