Dana Vega

Dana Vega currently serves as the Assistant Principal for 7th grade at Wake County Public School System since August 2022. Prior to this role, Dana worked as an English teacher at Fuquay Varina Middle School from December 2018 to August 2022 and at Jack Britt High School from August 2016 to June 2018, where instruction focused on English I. Dana has extensive teaching experience, which includes roles as a Junior Varsity Women's Soccer Coach and an English teacher at Cumberland County Schools, where responsibilities included teaching 6th grade Reading and Communication Skills, Social Studies, and 8th grade ELA and Social Studies. Earlier in Dana's career, teaching experience included all content areas for 5th grade. Educational qualifications include a School Leadership Graduate Certificate from Appalachian State University, a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership from Grand Canyon University, a Master of Education in Elementary Education from UNC-P, a Bachelor's degree in Junior High/Intermediate/Middle School Education from Fayetteville State University, and an Associate's degree in General Education from Fayetteville Technical Community College.
