Wilma Jenkins-Flythe

Wilma Jenkins-Flythe serves as the Sr. Director for Staffing and Operations in Human Resources at Wake County Public Schools, overseeing a school system with over 10,000 employees and 145,000 students since August 2008. Prior to this role, Wilma held the position of Assistant Principal at Wake County Public Schools from August 1986 to December 2000, where responsibilities included coordinating the At-Risk program and developing the New Teacher Institute. Wilma's extensive experience in education also includes roles as an English Teacher, Paideia Teacher, JV Cheerleading Coach, Drama Teacher, and Club Advisor. Wilma holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from East Carolina University and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from North Carolina Central University.
