Andrew Godfrey

Andrew Godfrey, MD, NRP, FAEMS, is an experienced emergency medicine professional currently serving as Associate Medical Director for EMS at Wake County since September 2022 and as Emergency Physician and Assistant Professor at Duke University Health System since July 2019. Prior roles include Assistant Medical Director at Durham County Emergency Medical Services, EMS Fellow at Medic (Mecklenburg EMS Agency), and Emergency Medicine Resident at Carolinas HealthCare System. Andrew's background in pre-hospital care includes extensive paramedic experience with Lundy Charters, Orange County Government, and Durham County Emergency Medical Services. Andrew holds an MD from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, completed an Emergency Medicine Residency and EMS Fellowship at Carolinas Medical Center, and earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Duke University.
