Scott Powell

Scott Powell currently serves as a Budget and Management Analyst at Wake County since May 2023, following a role as a Graduate Assistant within Budget and Management Services. Prior to this position, Scott was a Research Assistant at the UNC School of Government while pursuing a Master of Public Administration, expected to be completed in May 2024. Scott's experience also includes serving as the Outreach Team Lead at Changing Homelessness, where supervision of an eight-member team focused on outreach for a Veterans Affairs program took place, as well as frontline work as a Navigator assisting veterans experiencing homelessness. Earlier, Scott worked as a Paralegal at Jacksonville Area Legal Aid, Inc., supporting attorneys in various legal matters. Scott earned a Bachelor's Degree in Human Services Studies from Elon University in 2017.
