Amy Dawson

Amy Dawson is an experienced instructional technologist and digital innovation specialist currently serving at Wake Forest Baptist Health and Alexander County Schools, respectively. Since April 2016, Amy has led digital teaching and learning initiatives for over 500 educators, conducting over 25 workshops focused on technology competence aligned with state standards. Additionally, Amy works as an independent contractor for Kyte Learning, creating e-learning courses for educator professional development. Previous roles include instructional technology specialist at Alexander Central High School, where responsibilities involved planning professional development for over 100 teachers, and media coordinator at Taylorsville Elementary School, overseeing the school library media center. Amy holds multiple master's degrees in Library Science and Online Teaching and Instructional Design from East Carolina University and Lenoir-Rhyne University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication and Rhetoric from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
