Susan Terrell

Susan Terrell is an experienced HR professional currently serving as the AVP - Sr. HR Strategic Business Partner at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist since March 2022 and as an Adjunct Instructor at the Bryan School of Business and Economics at UNCG since July 2020. Previously, Susan held several key positions at Cone Health from March 2013 to March 2022, including Executive Director of People Strategy, where responsibilities encompassed leading Talent Acquisition and People Analytics, reimagining employee engagement strategies, and managing employee relations for over 5,000 staff members. Earlier career roles include Compensation/Benefits Specialist and Employment/Employee Relations Coordinator at Wilson Medical Center, Recruiter at QVC, as well as positions within East Carolina University and Southwest General Health Center. Susan holds a Master's degree in Human Resources from Western Carolina University and a Bachelor's degree in Sport Management/Communication/Business from Baldwin Wallace University. Susan is also certified with professional HR designations including PHR, SHRM-CP, RACR, and SHRBP.
