John Sumanth

John Sumanth is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in management and organizational behavior. Currently serving as a James Farr Fellow and Associate Professor of Management at Wake Forest University since June 2013, John also held the positions of Associate Dean of MBA Programs at Wake Forest University School of Business from June 2021 to May 2022 and multiple roles at the SMU Cox School of Business, including Assistant Professor of Management & Organizational Behavior. John holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a focus on Organizational Behavior from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School, complemented by an MBA from the University of Florida and a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Miami. Earlier in the career, John led new product development at Burger King Corporation and managed market planning and research at Norwegian Cruise Line, demonstrating a strong foundation in practical business operations.
