Julia Jackson-Newsom

Julia Jackson-Newsom serves as the Associate Vice President for Policy and Government Affairs at Wake Forest University, a position held since September 2021, while also acting as a Senior Advisor for Planning and Partnerships in the Office of the President. Prior to this role, Julia spent over 14 years at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where responsibilities included Associate Vice Chancellor for Strategy and Policy and Senior Advisor to the Chancellor for Strategic Initiatives. Julia's career began at Tanglewood Research as a Research Associate and also included a consultancy at the Center for Creative Leadership. Julia holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University and a B.A. in Psychology and Religion from Wake Forest University.
