Laurie Clowers is the VP of Communications and Marketing at Wake Technical Community College. Prior to that, they were a news anchor and reporter for GOP-TV, which broadcast on Lifetime and USA Networks. Laurie covered republican candidates running for office, and broadcast live from the 1996 Republican National Convention in San Diego. Laurie was also a news reporter for Washington's 24 hour cable news channel, Newschannel 8 (now WJLA 24/7), during its launch. Laurie has also worked as a producer for CNN and as a program manager for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of NC.
