Byron Davis

Byron Davis, MSA, is an experienced professional in managed care contracting and financial operations. Currently serving as Director of Managed Care Contracting at WakeMed since May 2022, Davis previously held director-level positions at Unified Women's Healthcare and Cigna, as well as managerial roles at Tenet Healthcare and Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System. With expertise in negotiations, contract modeling, and maintaining significant annual operating revenue, Davis has also contributed as a senior consultant at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina and held analytical and accounting positions at Lexington Medical Center, Providence Hospitals, and the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. Academically, Davis holds a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of South Carolina Aiken and a Master of Science in Accountancy from the University of Phoenix.
