Gayla Harvey

Gayla Harvey is the Vice President of Payor Strategy at WakeMed Health & Hospitals. Gayla has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on strategic planning and business development.

Gayla began their career at U C Health, where they spent 11 years as the Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning and Business Development. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing growth strategies for the organization.

In 2013, Gayla left U C Health to become the Chief Revenue Officer/Senior Vice President - Finance at Texas Health Resources. Gayla held this position for two years before moving to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where they served as the Senior Vice President, Payer Strategy and Revenue Cycle.

In 2019, Gayla left Vanderbilt to start their own consulting business. Gayla has been working as a Senior Consultant since then, providing strategic advice to healthcare organizations.

Gayla Harvey has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor of Business Administration - BBA in Accounting from Eastern Kentucky University.
