Thomas Miller

Thomas Miller has worked in the pharmaceutical industry since 2000, beginning with a role as Science Advisor at UBS Investment Bank. In 2001, they became Director of Chemistry & Research Operations at Aton Pharma, Inc., now a wholly-owned subsidiary of Merck & Co. Thomas then moved to Merck in 2004 as Senior Principal & Director. In 2014, they held two concurrent positions, Head, Discovery Chemistry at Shire Pharmaceuticals and Executive Director, IDSU at WuXi AppTec. In 2018, they were appointed Chief Scientific Officer at TIAKI THERAPEUTICS and in 2020 they became Senior Vice President at Walden Biosciences.

Thomas Miller completed their Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Indiana University Southeast in 1993. Thomas then went on to pursue a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Virginia from 1993 to 1998. In 1998, they began a postdoctoral research and consulting program at the same university. In 1999, they completed their postdoctoral program and was hired as a Scientific Officer in Bioorganic Chemistry at Columbia University, a position they held until 2001.
