Ronald Boon

Ronald Boon serves as the ISO Climate Champion at the International Organization for Standardization since February 2023 and has a long-standing role at NEN as Coordinator of Green Transition, along with managerial responsibilities in the Environment and Society Department since February 2010. Additionally, Ronald Boon holds the position of Chairperson for the European Environmental Standardization Board at CEN and CENELEC since August 2020, and works as an International Consultant for NIRAS, advising the Bolivia Standards Organization on environmental and climate issues until June 2024. Formerly, Ronald Boon was the Owner of Boon Consult, providing consultancy services focused on business opportunities in Latin America. Previous experience includes roles as Deputy Director at the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, MSc Programme Manager at Erasmus University Rotterdam, and International Environmental Expert for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Ronald Boon holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Sciences with a specialization in Environmental Management from Wageningen University & Research.
