Lacy Smith

Lacy Smith is an experienced attorney currently serving as an Associate Attorney at Waldon Adelman Castilla McNamara & Prout since September 2021. In this role, Lacy manages a caseload from intake to resolution, providing clients with insights into the civil lawsuit process while coordinating defense strategies with insurance companies. Previously, Lacy worked at the Law Office of the DeKalb County Public Defender from June 2016 to September 2021, where responsibilities included managing treatment court programs for high-needs clients and advocating for system-level changes. Lacy has also served as a Trial Attorney, overseeing criminal cases from arrest through trial, and has participated in multiple jury and bench trials. Lacy holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Georgia State University College of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Georgia College & State University.
