Johanna Chastek is an experienced music educator and performer based in Pittsburgh. Currently serving as the Grades Lead for the After School Program at the Waldorf School of Pittsburgh since August 2014, Johanna also provides private violin instruction to students of all ability levels as a self-employed violin instructor since May 2013. In addition, Johanna plays as the First Violinist for the Three Rivers String Quartet, performing at private events in the area. Previous teaching roles include long-term substitute teaching positions in general music and orchestra for various school districts, including Fox Chapel Area School District and Plum School District. Johanna holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance (Violin) and Anthropology, with a minor in Music Education from Carnegie Mellon University.
