Janis Lawrence, CRSP, CHSC, has over a decade of experience in health and safety management, currently serving as the Health and Safety Manager at Wales McLelland Construction since April 2009. Prior to this role, Janis held controller positions at Allteck Line Contractors from May 2005 to January 2009 and at Royal Vancouver Yacht Club from May 2003 to May 2005. Janis completed a Certificate in Health, Safety and Environmental Processes, Occupational Safety and Health from the University of Fredericton in 2016 and has pursued additional education at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, Justice Institute of BC, and Thompson Rivers University.

Wales McLelland Construction has been operating in Vancouver for 50 years with professional expertise in General Contracting, Design-Build, Construction Management, sustainable and LEED™ building, tilt-up construction, and pre-design planning and consulting services. Senior personnel include Darren Sauer (Director, Development), Janis Lawrence (OH&S Manager), Dave Iurman (Chief Estimator), Warren Downes (Manager of Operations), Paul Bordignon (General Superintendent) and Kyle Scott (Field Manager). Our Senior Management Team collectively has over 100 years of construction experience in the industrial, commercial and residential markets. Internally, we have thirty-plus full time office staff and fifty-plus field staff to support and administer every project and ensure its successful on-time delivery.
