Ornella Barra

Ornella Barra is Chief Operating Officer, International for Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc., overseeing WBA’s businesses outside of the U.S., including Boots UK and other pharmacy-led health and beauty retail businesses in Europe, Latin America, and Asia, as well as WBA’s pharmaceutical wholesale operation in Germany and the No7 Beauty Company. She is also Chair of the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee.

Before moving into her current position, she was Co-Chief Operating Officer and prior to that, she was President and Chief Executive of Global Wholesale and International Retail. Prior to the formation of Walgreens Boots Alliance in December 2014, she was Chief Executive Wholesale and Brands of Alliance Boots. Barra had previously been Chief Executive of the Pharmaceutical Wholesale Division (from January 2009 to September 2013), and before that, Wholesale & Commercial Affairs Director. In her role, she oversaw the Pharmaceutical Wholesale Division as well as the overall development of International Health & Beauty and Brands.
