Marcel Paquay began their work experience in 2009 as an Intern at Stichting Holland Beach Soccer. In 2009, they also worked as a Marketing & Sales intern for SportLagune while completing their Bachelor's thesis. From 2010 to 2012, Marcel worked at CG Research as a Supervisor, and from 2012 to 2014 as an Operational Account Manager. Marcel then became the Manager of Research & Marketing at CG Research from 2014 to 2018, where they were responsible for business development, marketing, and strategic growth. In 2018, Marcel joined Upinion as a Client Director for a few months before transitioning to Walibi Holland as their Consumer Insight Specialist. At Walibi Holland, Marcel played a crucial role in establishing and implementing consumer insight practices. In 2020, they were promoted to the Head of Strategy, Insights & Revenue at Walibi Holland. Additionally, Marcel is a Jurymember for MOAwards starting from 2022.
Marcel Paquay's education history begins in 2000 at Martinus College, where they pursued a VWO degree in Economics until 2006. After completing their secondary education, Marcel enrolled at TIO and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Hospitality Administration/Management from 2007 to 2010. Moving forward, Marcel attended Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) for a Pre-master degree in Marketing from 2010 to 2011. Subsequently, they pursued a Master's degree in Marketing at VU Amsterdam from 2011 to 2012. Marcel's educational journey concluded in 2021 with an MBA course at EHL, specifically focusing on Revenue Management for Market Leaders.
