Ellen Gamble is a seasoned professional in program management and partnerships, currently serving as a Senior Programmes & Partnerships Officer at Amref Health Africa UK, where the focus is on maternal health, sexual and reproductive health, and WASH in Tanzania and Uganda. Prior to this role, Ellen held the position of Programmes Director at Walkabout Foundation, overseeing international programs for people with disabilities in multiple countries and managing key donor relationships. Ellen's experience also includes significant roles such as Programmes Manager at UK Community Foundations and Networks and Communities Coordinator at Mind. Additionally, Ellen has contributed to international projects through The British Youth Council and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia. Ellen holds a Master’s Degree in Human Geography from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor's degree in Geography from the University of Portsmouth.

Walkabout Foundation
Walkabout Foundation is a non-profit organization with a mission of restoring dignity, freedom and independence by providing wheelchairs and rehabilitation in the developing world and funding research to find a cure for paralysis. Since it was co-founded by siblings Luis and Carolina Gonzalez-Bunster in 2009, Walkabout Foundation has distributed over 27,000 wheelchairs in 25 countries around the world, impacting the lives of over 71,000 people, and funded nearly $2 million in ground-breaking Spinal Cord Injury research.
