James Hiett, CAMS, MCSI has a diverse work experience in the financial and compliance industry. James currently serves as the Head of Group Compliance and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) at Walker Crips. James is responsible for overseeing the compliance activities of the group and ensuring anti-money laundering measures are in place. Before joining Walker Crips, James worked as a Suitability Compliance Officer at LGT Vestra LLP. James also gained valuable experience at the Financial Ombudsman Service, where they served as a Team Manager in the field of financial planning, investment management, and stockbroking. Prior to this, they were a Senior Adjudicator in the same field at the same organization.
James started their career in the financial industry as an Investment Administrator at Ascentric and later at Hargreaves Lansdown. Overall, James Hiett has a strong background in compliance, anti-money laundering, and investment administration.
James Hiett, CAMS, MCSI has a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in Law from the University of the West of England. In addition, they hold several certifications, including the CISI Level 6 Diploma in Investment Compliance from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), the Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification from ACAMS, and the Investment Environment (IMC) - Level 4 certification from CFA UK.
