Romana Essop is a Junior Business Affairs Executive at Walker Books, having progressed through various roles within the company since August 2021. Prior to this, Romana gained experience at the University of Birmingham as a Student Ambassador and Student Mentor, assisting prospective students and supporting academic progression for local secondary pupils. Additional roles include Student Playworker at Hideout Out of School Club, Life&Style Online Editor and Writer at Redbrick Student Newspaper, and Studio Assistant at Funky Pots Pottery Cafe. Romana also operated as a Scrapbook Designer and Seller on Etsy, served as a Student Blogger for UCAS, and completed a brief internship at BookTrust. Romana holds a degree in English and Creative Writing from the University of Birmingham and has a strong academic background from The West Bridgford School.
