Sharon Schmidt

Sharon Schmidt is a seasoned professional in development and education with extensive experience in nonprofit management and advancement roles. Currently serving as the Senior Director of Development at Walking Mountains Science Center since February 2023, Sharon's prior positions include Director of Advancement and Director of Academics and Admissions at Ski and Snowboard Club Vail from August 2013 to March 2023. Additional roles at Ski & Snowboard Club Vail, Vail Mountain School, and Waterville Valley Academy and BBTS Ski and Snowboard Club further highlight a strong background in leadership and communications. Sharon holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from Cornell Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Psychology from the University of Rochester, where graduation was achieved with Summa Cum Laude honors.
