Tom Barrett

Tom Barrett is the President and CEO of 7SIGNAL, a venture-funded enterprise software company that provides Wi-Fi solutions globally. For him, success means delivering results and creating long-term enterprise value.

Over his 28 years in management, Tom has focused on high growth and turnaround in both private equity and venture-funded companies, from start-ups to Fortune 500s. His leadership style includes building and developing high-performing teams, creating accountable cultures, consistently executing repeatable plans, and staying actively involved at each critical phase.

Before joining 7SIGNAL, Tom was a portfolio CEO for Brennan Management Group, a family office that owned and operated education businesses across the United States. While there, he managed a collection of businesses with $130 million in revenue and 2,000 employees. He also led the organization’s turnaround and its eventual sale. Before that, Tom was the GM/Executive Director of Learn.com, where he developed and led sales for the global knowledge exchange, which provided 30,000+ e-learning courses on the Learn.com learning management system — an integral part of the sale of the company to Taleo (later purchased by Oracle).

Earlier in his career, Tom started the North American Sales organization for iPass. The leading global remote access provider grew from inception to $100 million in recurring annual sales during his tenure. In July of 2003, iPass completed one of the most successful IPOs of the year. In total, Tom has been a part of two IPOs and five M&As.

In addition to Wall Family Enterprise, Tom holds board positions at 7SIGNAL and Navigate360/ALICE Training. He has previously held board or executive positions at many other family offices, private equity, and venture-funded companies, including Brennan Management Group, Futures Academy, Young Presidents Organization (YPO), WebTeach.com, ToolingU.com, and Monarch Teaching Technologies.
