The ﻿Wall Street ﻿Blockchain﻿ Alliance (WSBA) ﻿is a 501(c)(6) non-profit trade association created for financial market professionals, by financial market professionals.

Blockchain, distributed ledgers and smart contracts represent a seismic shift in how financial markets, and all aspects of the global economy, operate. In the same way that the internet gave us a powerful way to share and access information, blockchain technology now gives us a powerful way to share and access value.

As we work to incorporate and adapt these powerful advances in technology - including the emergence of digital currencies - to the world of "Finance 2.0"​, having an organized, strategic approach will help all participants involved in the global, distributed ledger ecosystem.

The long term result will be more efficient markets, more cost-effective solutions for equity ownership, investment and trading, and ultimately greater value and wealth creation for all participants in the world of finance and trading.

The WSBA Mission
Our mission is to guide and promote comprehensive adoption of distributed ledger technology across financial markets. We do this by engaging with market participants, regulators, policymakers and technology innovators through direct communication, comment letters, studies and more to guide the public dialogue about blockchain, distributed ledger and smart contract technology, so that the financial markets can realize the full potential of these capabilities.

We seek to do this in a way that is effective, complies with all regulatory safeguards and ultimately paves the way for more efficient and profitable markets.
