Elaine Higden

Elaine Higden has been working as an ESL instructor at Walled Lake Consolidated Schools since 2013. Elaine is also a self-employed writing consultant specializing in proofreading, line editing, and revising text for grammar, syntax, and clarity. With over 30 years of experience, Elaine has worked with academic text for students, instructors, and ESL writers, helping them improve their writing skills. Prior to their current roles, Elaine was an English teacher at Detroit Public Schools Community District from 1997 to 2012. Elaine holds a Teaching Certificate in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from Wayne State University.
