John Rowley is the CEO of Wallem Group, a 120-year-old independent maritime services organisation based in Hong Kong. They previously led LRQA (Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance) as CEO from 2013 to 2017 and served as President & Regional Director, Asia Pacific. They were CEO of SAI Global Assurance from 2018 to 2020 and Senior Vice President, Food and Assurance Divisions at NSF International from 2020 to 2023. Earlier in their career, they held multiple leadership roles at Ecolab in Asia and Australasia, including SVP & GM Asia (2008-2009). Their education includes a BSc (Hons) in Food Biotechnology from the University of Reading (1984-1988), an Officer Commission from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (1988-1989), and the Tuck Executive Program at Dartmouth College (2004).
