John Ball

John is an Investment Banking Associate with Park Sutton Advisors. Prior to joining Park Sutton Advisors, John was a Senior Manager at KPMG where he worked in the assurance and advisory practices for over 12 years. During this time, he led and managed the execution of finance transactions and audit engagements for public and private companies across various sectors, including M&A deals, restructurings, carve-outs and spin-offs, bankruptcies, equity and debt offerings, traditional IPOs, and de-SPAC transactions.

John’s responsibilities included the review of valuation methodology and financial models, understanding and discussion over the underlying inputs and assumptions, performing sensitivity testing and scenario analysis, and preparing conclusion memorandums. John was also a KPMG national instructor for 5 years, which included teaching financial analysis and technical methodology to professionals across the country.

John is a licensed CPA in the State of New York, a registered Chartered Accountant in South Africa, and passed the CFA Level II exams. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Rhodes University, and a Bachelor of Commerce Honors in Accounting degree from the University of Johannesburg. John served as the Treasurer for American Cancer Society in Houston and continues to be an active supporter. He is also an avid golfer and runner.
