Bill Athanas

Bill Athanas is a partner at Waller Lansden Dortch and Davis. Bill previously worked as an assistant U.S. attorney from January 2006 to August 2009, where they prosecuted complex criminal matters, primarily in the areas of public corruption and economic crime. Bill also represented the United States in numerous high profile trials and at oral argument before the Eleventh Circuit. In December 2001, they became a trial attorney for the U.S. Department of Justice, Criminal Division, Fraud Section, responsible for investigating and prosecuting large-scale economic crime cases in districts throughout the country. Bill focused on prosecuting matters involving bank and tax fraud, as well as violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Bill tried matters in several jurisdictions before joining Donoghue, Barrett & Singal, P.C. as an attorney in January 1997.

Bill Athanas received their JD from Suffolk University Law School and their Bachelor of Science from the University of New Hampshire.
