Brian Ries

Brian Ries is a seasoned Software Engineer at Walleye Capital since August 2011, specializing in software and applications for high-frequency trading. Prior to this role, Brian served as an Advanced Engineer at General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems from April 2009 to August 2011, where custom software was developed for the F-18 fighter plane's mission computer and graphical enhancements were implemented, reducing subcontracting expenses. Brian's early career include positions as a Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota from September 2003 to May 2009, focusing on architectural design and virtual reality, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from May 2002 to August 2003, where research on visualization and user interface design was conducted. Brian holds a Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, along with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
