Nicolas Baker

Nicolas Baker is currently the Director of Strategic Initiatives for ESG, Climate, and Nature at Walmart and has held several prominent roles in sustainability, including Senior Sustainability Officer at the Executive Office of the President and Senior Sustainability Advisor at the White House Council on Environmental Quality. With a career spanning over two decades, Nicolas has contributed to national decarbonization policies and led federal ESG reporting while working at the U.S. Department of Energy. Early in their career, they served as an Environmental Scientist and Green Building Specialist, laying a strong foundation in the intersection of policy, technology, and sustainability. Nicolas holds a BS from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MA from American University.
