Skylar Simmons

Skylar Simmons is an experienced cybersecurity professional currently serving as the Director of Red Team and Cyber Deception at Walmart since October 2023. Prior to this, Skylar held the position of Senior Manager for Penetration Testing and Red Teaming at GEICO from September 2021 to October 2023, and worked as a Red Team Operator at SWIFT from October 2017 to September 2021. Skylar's earlier experience includes roles as a Penetration Tester at ManTech International Corporation, a Security Analyst at the National Science Foundation, and a Cyber Security Specialist at Northrop Grumman Corporation. Skylar also has a military background as a Squad Leader in the US Army, focusing on leadership and team development. Skylar holds a Bachelor's Degree in Cyber/Electronic Operations and Warfare from the University of Maryland Global Campus and a degree in Information Assurance and Network Security from Northern Virginia Community College.
