Amanda Minnich is an experienced educational leader currently serving as Assistant Principal at Walnut Creek School District since June 2017, where roles have included Interim Principal at Indian Valley Elementary and Principal for Middle School Summer School. With a background in project-based learning, Amanda has previously held the position of Athletic Director at Kenton County Board of Education while also teaching 8th grade social studies. Furthermore, Amanda has contributed to the Kentucky Council for the Social Studies, serving as both President and Vice President. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Government, both from the University of Louisville.

The Walnut Creek School District is responsible for meeting the educational needs of approximately 3,600 students enrolled in transitional kindergarten through eighth grade. We operate five K-5 neighborhood elementary schools, one K-8 school, and one 6-8 intermediate school. Grades K-5 are primarily self-contained, while grades 6-8 offer a mixture of core and elective classes.
