Christina Topf Boman serves as the District Coordinator of Early Literacy at West Contra Costa Unified School District since June 2017, overseeing Pre K-3rd grade literacy across 38 elementary schools within the Teaching, Learning & Leading Department. Previously, Christina held the position of Elementary Principal at Walnut Creek School District starting in July 2016 and served as Elementary School Principal at Mount Diablo Unified School District from July 2007 to June 2016. Christina's early career includes roles as a Reading Coach at Pittsburg Unified School District from August 2004 to June 2007 and as a Teacher at Vallejo Unified School District from September 2000 to June 2004. Christina holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from the University of California, Berkeley, a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from The University of British Columbia, a Reading Specialist Credential from Saint Mary's College of California, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education from the University of Kent.
