Claudia Avalos is an experienced educator specializing in special education, with a career spanning over a decade. Currently serving as an EIP Special Education Teacher for the Walnut Creek School District since August 2018, Claudia previously held roles as a Special Education Teacher at Wellspring Educational Services Inc. from August 2016 to June 2018, and as a Site Supervisor and Early Childhood Special Education Teacher at Napa County Office of Education from August 2012 to June 2016. The Walnut Creek School District is responsible for meeting the educational needs of approximately 3,600 students enrolled in transitional kindergarten through eighth grade. We operate five K-5 neighborhood elementary schools, one K-8 school, and one 6-8 intermediate school. Grades K-5 are primarily self-contained, while grades 6-8 offer a mixture of core and elective classes.
