Walnut Hill School for the Arts
Anthony is currently the Founder & Artistic Director of City Ballet of Boston, and is the creator of Anthony Williams’ Urban Nutcracker. Each of these undertakings shares the same motto: “Diversity Through Dance.” He was a chartered member and Principal Dancer with the Boston Ballet, and has danced with the Joffrey Ballet and Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Anthony has more than 40 years of teaching experience, at places including Wellesley College, Harvard University, Groton School, and the Boston Conservatory.
He is the recipient of Wheelock Family Theatre’s Wheel Award (with co-awardee Jacques d’Amboise), and the Dance Teacher Magazine Award. He was also presented with the Boston Dance Alliance’s Dance Champion Award in 2019. Anthony previously taught ballet at Walnut Hill, and he is excited to return as a Trustee!
