Michael Bankes

Michael Bankes, PE, CCM, serves as the Chief Engineer and Senior Project Manager at The Walsh Group, focusing on the Walsh Shea Corridor Constructors Crenshaw/LAX Transit Corridor Project since December 2017. Previously, Michael held multiple roles at Fluor Corporation, including Construction Engineering Director for the Plant Vogtle 3&4 Expansion and Manager of Projects in the Long Beach Office. Additionally, Michael was the Director of the Civil/Structural/Architectural Department at Fluor Southern California and co-chaired the Construction Industry Institute's COP from 2010 to 2013. Earlier in Michael's career, a role as Project Engineer involved overseeing a modularized process unit for a refinery project. Michael earned a Master of Science in Structural Engineering from UC Irvine and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California State University, Fullerton.
