Robert Longley-Cook is an experienced leader in the non-profit and corporate sectors, currently serving as Chair of the Board of Trustees at Walsingham Support and General Manager at GIS-E, where a focus on leveraging cartographic information for social impact is emphasized. Alongside these roles, Longley-Cook acts as a Strategic Advisor for EntrainSpace, helping to innovate its Delivery Model. Previously, Longley-Cook served as Vice Chair of Trustees at WRAP and was Chief Executive at Hft, where support for individuals with learning disabilities was prioritized. Additional experience includes roles as Executive Director of Communications & Fundraising at WRVS and Director of Marketing Strategy at Innovene (BP Petrochemicals), following a long-term career with BP in various commercial and strategy roles. Longley-Cook holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Bristol.

As a national charity, Walsingham Support has been challenging and changing the support provided to individuals with learning disabilities, autism, brain injuries and complex needs for over 35 years. We do this by understanding people’s unique needs, abilities and aspirations. Through this we create and deliver the person-centred, bespoke support needed for each individual to develop skills, achieve independence and enjoy life to the full. Flexibility is key to achieving this, but while our work and the support we provide constantly evolves to meet the demands of a changing social care landscape, our central goal has remained the same: deliver the quality of life people with disabilities deserve.
