Nick is a project manager and Erection Engineering Services Leader for Walter P Moore’s Construction Engineering group overseeing the development of complex structural steel erection procedures, custom rigging and crane plans, as well as the design and detailing of steel connections. His background as a finish carpenter instilled the value of careful project planning, from creative concept to final installation. With this practical hands-on perspective, he continually looks for ways to simplify the complex for his steel fabricator and erector clients.
He is proficient in U.S. and international design codes, ASCE 37, ASME-BTH, and is a seismic specialist. He is also experienced with proprietary connection systems, long-span trusses, complex architecturally-exposed connections, and custom shoring and lateral bracing systems, equipping him to enthusiastically tackle projects of every scale and complexity.
Education is a Bachelor of Science, University of South Carolina and Master of Science, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
