Ray Messer, Chairman Emeritus has over 35 years of experience in engineering design, project management, and construction, with a special interest in the interface between design and construction, Ray is now focusing on developing relationships to pursue and execute design-build projects. He is creating the firm’s in-house protocol for delivery of design-build and construction engineering services and serves as a consultant solving construction issues related to post-tensioned structures. For ten years prior to joining the firm, Ray focused on the design and construction of post-tensioned structures.
Ray continues to focus his time on business and professional organizations and serves on many industry-related boards. He is a registered professional engineer in four states. Prior to receiving a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering Mechanics from Columbia University, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from Carroll College.
In 2018, Ray was honored with induction into the National Academy of Construction, elected for being a "widely recognized leader for design/build procedures and structural engineering standards while active in many industry professional organizations."
