Santiago is a Principal and Design Manager in Walter P Moore’s Structures Group and is based in the Washington, D.C. office. He joined the firm in 2014 and has extensive experience in the healthcare, aviation, sports, and historic building sectors. Additionally, Santiago has experience conducting post-earthquake structural safety assessments and working at construction sites. Santiago’s expertise has been leveraged on several high-profile projects including New Orleans International Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport consolidated rental car facility, Virginia Hospital Center Ambulatory Care Building, Medical University of South Carolina Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, University of Virginia University Hospital Expansion, Old Dominion University S.B. Ballard Stadium Reconstruction, and Georgia State University Convocation Center.
Santiago earned a BS in civil engineering from the Universidad de Carabobo as well as an MS and PhD in civil engineering from the University of Kansas.
