Brian Sarinas has extensive work experience in the healthcare and biomedical equipment field. Brian started their career as a Basic Officer Course Company Senior Corpsman in the US Navy, where they provided leadership and support to Marines during various training exercises. Brian later served as a Hospital Corpsman, providing medical care to U.S. and coalition forces in Kuwait and overseeing medical readiness for Marines and Sailors.
In their roles as a Biomedical Equipment Technician, Sarinas demonstrated their expertise in repairing, calibrating, and maintaining medical and dental equipment valued at millions of dollars. Brian achieved high completion rates and reduced workload while supervising and mentoring fellow technicians.
During their time at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Sarinas served as a Healthcare Information Technology Assistant Lead, managing and troubleshooting complex medical device networks and databases. Brian ensured the integrity of patient information and the functionality of various systems.
In their most recent role as a Biomedical Equipment Technician Leading Petty Officer in the US Navy, Sarinas led the calibration and maintenance of medical and dental equipment, including a critical repair on an MRI machine that saved the command over $8,000,000. Brian also supervised the relocation of a valuable X-ray unit without any mishaps, eliminating the need to transport detainees for surgical services.

Brian Sarinas has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Cybersecurity and Networking from the University of Maryland Global Campus, which they obtained from 2021 to 2022. Brian also holds an Associate's Degree in Applied Health Studies from Thomas Edison State College, completed from 2014 to 2015. In addition, Brian attended METC from 2011 to 2012 and earned a degree in Biomedical Equipment Technician. Furthermore, they are currently pursuing a second Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in the Cybersecurity Management and Policy program at the University of Maryland Global Campus, which they are expected to complete from 2022 to 2023. Brian has obtained several certifications, including CompTIA Network+ ce Certification from CompTIA in September 2021 and various technical training certifications from institutions such as GE Healthcare, AAMI, Coursera, and others.
