Germain M. Allen is an experienced healthcare professional with a strong background in nursing and clinical informatics. Currently serving as the Informatics Manager and Clinical Systems Training Manager at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center since August 2011, Germain oversees all clinical systems, ensuring efficient operation from desktop to server for both inpatient and outpatient services. Prior to this role, Germain held various positions at the National Naval Medical Center, including Deputy Branch Chief of Clinical Informatics and Essentris System Administrator, where responsibilities included maintaining system uptime and gathering requirements from healthcare staff. Germain's nursing career began in the US Navy, serving as a Registered Nurse and Hospital Corpsman, with extensive experience in critical care settings. Germain holds a Master of Science degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Information Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Registered Nursing from The Catholic University of America.
