Melissa Austin

Melissa Austin has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare industry and military. Melissa currently holds the position of Director (CEO) at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. In this role, they oversee a 240-bed academic medical center with an $820 million operating budget and is responsible for managing 6,000 employees.

Prior to this, Melissa served as the Commanding Officer at Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Fort Belvoir, where they provided oversight to approximately 400 Navy personnel.
