Joel Wheeler

Joel Wheeler has over 30 years of experience in the sales industry, with a focus on electrical products and lighting. Joel currently works as an Outside Sales Representative at Elite Lighting Corp, where they engage with new and existing customers in the Southern California market. In this role, they cold calls on electrical contractors, architects, lighting designers, and electrical distributors. Joel also attends lighting shows to educate customers on existing and new lighting products and collaborates with the customer service and quotations team to ensure timely delivery of lighting proposals to distributors.

Prior to their current position, Joel held various roles at Walters Wholesale Electric, starting as an Inside Sales Manager in 2012. Joel managed electrical projects from start to finish, value engineered projects to increase the chances of winning contracts, and handled material ordering and shipping. Joel also served as a Purchasing Agent, responsible for purchasing electrical lines and lighting equipment.

Before joining Walters Wholesale Electric, Joel worked at Tolly Inc. as an Account Executive, focusing on brand development and marketing of Tolly Landscape Inc. Joel worked with general contractors, management companies, and homeowners to grow the multi-family housing business and develop large landscapes.

Joel also has experience as an Account Executive at Regency General Contractors, where they were responsible for identifying and bidding on remodel projects for multi-family management companies.

In addition, Joel worked at Southern California Illumination as a National Accounts Quotations Representative. In this role, they quoted plans and specifications to national account groups and worked closely with national distributors to ensure customer satisfaction. During their tenure, they significantly increased sales volume.

Joel has also been involved in entrepreneurship as the Owner/Partner of Home Gallery Collection, a startup wholesale distribution business. Joel managed imports from Asia, attended trade shows, and maintained relationships with new and existing accounts.

Early in their career, Joel started at Main Electric Supply as an Outside Sales Representative, and later joined Walters Wholesale Electric as an Inside/Outside Sales Representative. In these positions, they gained experience in counter sales, stock orders, commercial and residential job material ordering, and collaborating with the outside sales team.

Throughout their career, Joel has demonstrated a strong sales track record, consistently achieving account growth and increasing sales.

Joel Wheeler attended Utah State University from 1982 to 1984, where they studied Architecture / Art. Afterward, from 1983 to 1985, they pursued General Studies at Cabrillo College.
