Lead Civics Teacher at Waltham Public Schools

Ken Borter has a diverse work experience in education and program coordination. Ken began their career as a Teaching Assistant at Wellesley Public Schools in 2013 and went on to become an English Teacher and Social Studies Teacher. At Wellesley, they focused on developing students' reading, writing, and critical thinking skills and incorporated technology into their lessons. Ken also worked as a Lead After School Instructor at Watertown Public Schools, where they supervised and organized activities for students.

In 2017, Ken joined the New Art Center as a Summer Program Coordinator, responsible for managing student needs, facilitating communication with parents, and analyzing feedback. Ken then served as a Social Studies Long Term Substitute at Public Schools of Brookline in 2018. Currently, Ken is employed by Waltham Public Schools as the Lead Civics Teacher, although specific dates are not provided for this role.
