Kay Contreras

Kay Contreras currently serves as an Associate in the Education Program at Walton Family Foundation since December 2022. Prior to this role, Kay held various positions including Branch Operations & Production Lead at Landed Home Loans and Relationship Manager at Landed, where the focus was on facilitating homeownership for essential professionals in high-cost areas. Additional experience includes grant management consultancy at RootED Denver, serving as an Impact Fellow at The Denver Foundation through Education Pioneers, co-founding Novela to promote inclusive classroom libraries, pursuing an Education Policy Fellowship, and working in sales operations at EdSurge and technology operations at KIPP Public Schools Northern California. Kay possesses a Certificate in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Strategy from the University of Colorado Boulder and a B.A. in Mass Communications and Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley.
