Jon Steeves has a diverse work experience in the aquaculture industry. Jon started as an Aquaculture Entrepreneur in 2012, then became a Continuous Improvement Specialist at Cooke Inc. in 2010. Jon later became a General Manager and then a Business Analyst at Cooke Inc. In 2014, they co-founded Paradise Aquaculture and held the position until 2016. From 2016 to 2021, they worked at Wanchese Fish Company as an Operations Manager before being promoted to Director of Operations in September 2021.
Jon Steeves has a diverse education history. Jon completed a Certified Post Merger Integration Specialist (CPMI) program at the Institute for Mergers, Acquisitions and Alliances (IMAA) in 2023. Prior to this, Jon attended The University of British Columbia, where they studied Business/Managerial Economics. Jon also pursued studies in International Business at Southeastern University.
In addition to their academic pursuits, Jon has obtained several certifications. In 2021, they became a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt through The Council for Six Sigma Certification (CSSC). Jon also obtained a Procurement and Logistics Certificate from The Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport International and completed a Professional Ethics course with Corporate Finance Institute® (CFI). In 2017, Jon became HACCP certified by the Central Atlantic States Association of Food & Drug Officials (CASA). Jon has also completed a course on Financial Markets through Coursera and a Seafood Marketing Certificate Program with SeafoodSource.
Furthermore, Jon has obtained a Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA) certification from Corporate Finance Institute® (CFI). Jon also holds a Fundraising Essentials Certificate, though details surrounding the institution and timeframe remain undisclosed.
