Rafael Gonzalez Giraldo

Rafael Gonzalez Giraldo has extensive experience in finance and managerial roles. Rafael is currently serving as a Finance Manager at WAO!, a position they started in July 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Finance Manager at MOCEE from March 2021 to July 2022. From 2018 to 2021, Rafael held the position of Finance Manager at Confecciones Alison, where they were responsible for business and project valuation, financial and administrative functions, budgeting, forecasting, and accounting supervision.

Before that, Rafael worked as a Business Partner (FP&A Coordinator) at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson in 2017. In this role, they collaborated with country managers and senior sales and marketing managers to create cross-business strategies, defined annual strategies for market approach, and measured and compared Oncology Commercial and Marketing KPIs.

Rafael also gained experience as an FP&A Analyst LATAM at AIG from 2014 to 2016. In this role, they analyzed financial drivers for the insurance industry, assisted business managers with budgeting and forecasting, and generated and analyzed reports against budget and forecast.

Earlier in their career, Rafael served as Jefe de Tesorería at rentandes s.a. in 2013 and as a Financial Controller at LCC - A Tech Mahindra Company from 2011 to 2013.

Rafael Gonzalez Giraldo began their education in 2007 at Universidad Sergio Arboleda, where they pursued a degree in Finance and International Commerce. Rafael completed this program in 2010. In the same year, they also participated in the Young Executive's Training Program at Universidad Sergio Arboleda, focusing on Business Administration and Management. Later, in 2010, Rafael undertook a Master of International Business degree at Griffith University, which they finished in 2011.
