Dr. Kenneth Olden, Ph.D has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Dr. Kenneth is currently a Board Member at Large for the Washington Educational Research Association since 2023. Prior to this, they worked in the Wapato School District where they held multiple roles including Director of Assessment and Data, VP/Athletic Director at Wapato Middle School, and Special Programs Coordinator. In these roles, they were responsible for organizing and overseeing various assessments, coordinating staff training, analyzing data, and reporting on assessment results. Dr. Kenneth also worked closely with Teaching & Learning and district instructional coaches to utilize data for closing the achievement gap. Before joining the Wapato School District, Dr. Olden worked at the Mount Adams School District, where they served as an Assessment Coach/Coordinator, Instructional Coach, Administrative Intern, and English Teacher. Dr. Kenneth Olden, Ph.D has a diverse education history. Dr. Kenneth began their academic journey at Yakima Valley College, where they earned an Associate of Science (AS) degree from 1998 to 2000. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education at the University of Washington from 2000 to 2003.

Dr. Olden further enhanced their educational qualifications by obtaining a Teaching Certification from Heritage University between 2004 and 2006. Dr. Kenneth then pursued a Professional Teaching Certificate in English Language Arts - Adults/Young Adults from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in 2010 and 2011.

Continuing their pursuit of advanced degrees, Dr. Olden completed a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh in 2011 and 2012. Subsequently, they attended Central Washington University from 2013 to 2015, specializing in Secondary School Administration/Principalship and obtaining a Residency Administrative Certification.

In 2015, Dr. Olden enrolled at Capella University for their highest academic achievement, completing a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in Professional Studies in Education from 2015 to 2019. Most recently, they are pursuing a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Educational Assessment, Testing, and Measurement from the University of Illinois Chicago starting in 2023, with an expected completion date not yet determined.
